The PhatShaft 62 is the perfect upgrade turbo for towing. Most PhatShaft 62 turbos can be purchased with a 12 or 14 turbine housing matched with a 65mm turbine. We suggest a 12 cm turbine housing if the truck has moderate fueling upgrades such as 300hp injectors and a camplate. If the truck has heavier fueling upgrades such as 370hp injectors, aggressive camplate and governor springs then you will be better suited with 14cm housing. The benefit of the 14cm exhaust housing is lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures but it will be slower to spool in daily driving situations. The wategate is set at 40psi to prevent head gasket failure. The PhatShaft 62 compliments moderate fueling upgrades and can support 300 - 550hp. The 62 is a drop in replacement for Dodge, however an HX40 downpipe may be required for installation. All PhatShaft turbochargers are equipped with dual grooved bearings and an adjustable boost elbow. PhatShaft 66 is a mid to high range turbo upgrade intended for performance and light towing. The PhatShaft 66 comes standard with a 14cm exhaust housing and can be special ordered with a 12cm housing. This turbine features a 65mm turbine exducer. The wategate is set at 45psi when it leaves Industrial Injection however boost levels can be adjusted with the adjustable boost elbow. All PhatShaft turbochargers are equipped with dual grooved bearings and an adjustable boost elbow.
